CRYPTALOGIK COLLAB | Aaron Lobdell

SCULPTURE | UFO CRASH LANDING

CRYTPALOGIK designs calligraphy for an Art Installation with Aaron Lobdell which depicts a UFO crashing into the festival grounds displaying Aaron Sierra's light language typographies.

ENCODING

CRYPTALOGIK encodes messages into his calligraphy stemming from a tablet-like source piece containing the complete set of symbols that form the foundation of his visual language, much like an alphabet. From this system, Aaron constructs layered calligraphic compositions that carry encoded meaning beyond ordinary text. Many of these messages are rooted in Buddhist mantras, transforming sacred recitation into visual form. Each stroke becomes more than mark-making; it serves as a channel for intention, meditation, and spiritual transmission, allowing the work to function simultaneously as language, prayer, and image.

Furtherrr Collaboration

Moonrise Festival commissions custom inflatable tentacles for an immersive installation depicting a colossal creature emerging from a crashed UFO. Blending spectacle, scale, and narrative, the work transformed the festival grounds into a surreal encounter between science fiction and public art. Created in collaboration with Moonrise Festival, this large-scale inflatable installation functioned not only as a sculptural centerpiece, but also as a communal lounge and shaded gathering space. Visitors were invited to rest beneath the sweeping tentacles and crashed UFO structure, transforming the work into an immersive environment where spectacle, shelter, and social interaction converged.

CRYPTALOGIK | Collab
